The upcoming Tekken franchise project was unveiled by Bandai Namco in September 2022 during Sony’s State of Play event. Unreal Engine 4 is used in the most recent installment of the series, Tekken 7, a fighting game that debuted in 2015 and is highly praised for its precise gameplay and clear graphics. Additionally, this title was the first time the series used Epic’s Unreal, and Bandai Namco was encouraged to test the software’s replacement because of the great experience with Unreal.
In order to advance, Bandai Namco declared that Tekken 8 is powered by Unreal Engine 5, and the launch trailer for the game clearly illustrates the advantages of this change. The general manager of Bandai Namco Entertainment, Katsuhiro Harada, also said that every character model in the future game is being created from scratch in UE5. A demo of Tekken 8 that showcased the features of the follow-up was released towards the end of 2023. It’s fairly good for a demo, with five modes, four playable characters, and three battle levels included in the download. The fight is the main attraction of this release, but the enhanced graphics are also hard to overlook.

Having saying that, it was announced early on that Unreal Engine 5 would be used in the sequel; this was brilliantly demonstrated during the GDC 2023 event. Senua’s remarkably lifelike facial motions are the main attraction of this little clip. While the first game was far from deficient in this regard, the sequel seemed destined to surpass it completely.
Ninja Theory and Microsoft announced early in 2024 that the much awaited sequel will only be available on the Xbox Series X/S and PC starting on May 21, 2024. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will be accessible on Game Pass right now

STALKER 2 was one of Microsoft’s biggest reveals at E3 2021. Its debut trailer was lauded for its impressive visuals, and, perhaps unsurprisingly, STALKER 2 was confirmed to be in development with Unreal Engine 5. This is one of the most anticipated Unreal Engine 5 games and could be a major tent-pole release for Microsoft’s platforms over the next few years.
The engine seems to be a better fit for open-world projects compared to previous iterations, which explains why projects such as STALKER 2 have opted to use UE5. The long-awaited sequel was set to be released in December 2022, but it had to be pushed back indefinitely. However, the game is set to debut on September 5, 2024.
